Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.

Applications are actually open and may close on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must satisfy the following requirements:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house with a combined gross residence income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic revenue doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and want not submit any proof of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to provide the right Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or plan to research in a public university or TVET college click here in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to check here wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
